Meet Christina
Some people are good at their jobs. Some people make life a little easier for everyone around them. And then there are the rare people who somehow make you feel calmer, more welcome, and genuinely cared for within just a few minutes of meeting them.
That’s Christina Carlson.
Christina joined the Care Chiropractic family on July 15, 2025, and from the very beginning, we knew she was someone extraordinary. In fact, Jolene knew after just one interview. She walked away saying, “I think we just found someone really special.” She couldn’t have been more right.
Sometimes a résumé tells you about a person’s education. Sometimes an interview tells you about their experience. But every once in a while, you meet someone whose kindness speaks long before they ever say a word. Christina is one of those people.
She has one of the warmest, most genuine personalities you’ll ever encounter. She naturally remembers names, asks about your family, celebrates your victories, and quietly encourages you through life’s challenges. She has a heart of gold, and caring for others isn’t something she turns on at work—it’s simply who she is.
Some people make you feel important because of what they do. Christina has a rare gift for making people feel important simply because you’re in the room.
Patients notice it almost immediately. Before they learn about her education or experience, they notice something much more meaningful—they feel comfortable. They feel heard. They feel welcomed. Most importantly, they feel like they matter. That’s exactly how healthcare should feel.
Christina graduated from the University of Iowa in 2023 with a Bachelor’s Degree in English and Creative Writing before earning her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Northern Iowa in May of 2026. Her education gave her something incredibly valuable: the ability to communicate with compassion and, even more importantly, the ability to truly listen.
Throughout college, Christina worked in chiropractic offices across Iowa, but she often says she finally found her home at Care Chiropractic. Fortunately for us, we feel exactly the same way.
Behind the scenes, Christina has become exceptionally skilled at verifying insurance benefits, answering billing questions, and helping patients navigate the often confusing world of insurance. She approaches every situation with patience, professionalism, and a genuine desire to help people receive the care they deserve. She understands that behind every insurance card and every phone call is a real person simply looking for answers—and she never loses sight of that.
As impressive as her professional skills are, they still aren’t what make Christina so special. What makes her exceptional is the way she quietly takes care of people.
She notices when a teammate could use a helping hand before anyone asks. She celebrates other people’s successes, encourages those around her, and is constantly looking for ways to make someone else’s day a little brighter. Whether it’s a patient or a coworker, Christina is always thinking about how she can help. Those qualities can’t be taught. They come from having an extraordinary heart.
One of the things we’re most proud of at Care Chiropractic isn’t just our experience or technology—it’s our people. Dr. Sean and Jolene have worked hard to create an office that feels different from the typical healthcare practice. It’s a place where teammates genuinely care about one another, where laughter is heard every day, and where patients quickly become part of the family.

Christina Family Life
Outside the office, Christina enjoys spending time with her fiancé, Jaden, and their two cats, Mina and Ashes. Whether she’s relaxing on the porch with a good book, exploring the beautiful trails around Cedar Rapids, or baking homemade sourdough, she appreciates life’s simple moments. She and Jaden are excited to build their future here in the Cedar Rapids area, and we’re incredibly grateful Care Chiropractic gets to be part of that journey.
